In order to make AstroPrint more user friendly and modern and after listening to some of our user's feedback, we underwent a UI/UX refresh. This article will guide you through the upcoming changes to the Astroprint UI
Here you can find a complete list of all the changes to the UI, no functionalities have been removed. If you are unable to find one of the apps, check the list to know its new location.
These are the changes that are present everywhere on the site.
A new navigation bar has been added on the left side that will be always visible, meaning you can switch between parts of the site faster.
The option "Download" has been replaced for "Open in Library"
The "Printer Activity" widget has been moved to the "Printer Statistics" tab on the navigation column
All the profiles, which include Printer, Material and Setting profiles have been moved to this tab on the navigation column
The Gcode and Build plate viewers can be found on the Dashboard and the Utilities tab on the navigation column
The External STL Uploader has been moved to the Utilities tab
Thingiverse and 3D Slash have been moved to the Applications tab on the navigation column
The used and remaining storage bar and the number of registered printers icon have been moved to the dropdown menu found on the top right corner
Print Capture has been renamed Time Lapses and has been moved to its own tab on the navigation column
The store was removed from the interface
Design Library has been renamed Library and has been moved to the navigation column
The "Assign to design" option has been added on the printfiles menu
Printing and adding to queues has now been unified under the same menu that has all the options visible: "Print", "Add to queue" and "Add to workflow"
Multiple printfiles can be selected and sent to print, the first one will be printed immediately and the rest will be added to the queue for that printer
Monitor has been renamed Printers and moved to the left column
The Printers tab has all the Monitor and Print Queue functions on one place
The option to switch view resembles the Monitor for a more summarized view
Group Queues have been renamed Workflows and moved from Queues to the Navigation pane. Note this functionality is only visible if you have a fleet ( now called Team )
Custom Queues have been renamed Clusters and moved from Queues to the Navigation pane
