CNC support - G-Code pass through option

There are several open source CNC machines that use GRBL for their g-code interpreters.  I would like to just pass through G-Code (or possibly have a DXF file converted to g-code optionally) to drive a CNC machine.  The concept is similar, and most of the infrastructure is the same. 

Bypassing the slicer for pre-generated g-code for CNC use could be an option without having to do DXF or other format conversions.

  Does the current gcode upload to the Rpi work for this? If it does then I think the planned support for gcode upload to the cloud will provide what you need here without adding new work for the team.
