SD Card backup

Awhile back I made a backup of my current SD card image on my Mac. This has worked fine with my other Pi’s running Retropie and Stretch. I decided to switch Pi’s, and figured it would be as easy as making a new SD card from my backup image and insert it into new pi. It boots fine but will not connect to WiFi  or create hotspot and I can’t seem to reach my Astrobox. I can hook up a Ethernet cord and get into my dashboard locally, but get the can’t reach astrobox when trying to connect to cloud. I click on the red rocket in top right hand corner but it does not connect. Is the WiFi tied to the original pi somehow? I’m not very knowledgble in Rasberry Pi/or Linux, having been a MAC user for years.
