AstroPrint's Roles and Permissions engine gives you FULL CONTROL over how your users interact with your Fleet. Whether you have 1-2 user types that are 3D Printing experts, or 10 user types, some of which should not ever be allowed near a slicer, we have you covered.
Another way to think about Roles and Permissions is that you get to restrict what your users can do on the platform. For example, maybe you want your end-users to be able to send files to a Group Queue but NOT access the slicer, then your Lab Techs and Admins can access the slicer and print (ideal if your end-users are not 3D Printing savvy). Or, maybe you want all your end-users to have access to advanced slicing functionality (better if your users are engineers, STEM students, etc).
